Air Con pump issue?

Got a rattling kind of noise coming from the front of the car when I have the air con on. Air con Pump be knackered? If so is it an expensive/difficult fix? And is it dangerous to drive,would it take the aux belt if it fails altogether?

Leave the air con off?

Disappears with aircon off yeah? Will be pump. Means draining the system, not a hard job overall though. Fit a new aux belt kit.

Obviously I could leave it off,but with summer (hopefully) not too far off I'd like the option of using my air con. Cheers Alex,just had a new aux belt aswell

Dont forget it acts as a demister in the winter as well.... lol

i would get it fixed asap if the pulley fails the aux belt could take out the cambelt.
