AIR CON ????????

  182
hi there

does anyone know why my air con is just pumping out hot air ???

could this be a leak or down to re-gasing ??

could be either fella!!

but like BM says, does the clutch kick in??

Get it to a Auto Air con place get it checked, they will put dye in it so they will be able to find it if its a leak.

Can you hear the motors working in the unit the gears can fail there only plastic if they have then it a bugger, dasbaoard out then fix it.

Would the clutch still engage/clunk if there was no gas in the system? My system was de-gassed while I changed my radiator but since it doesnt clunk when switching it on. Didnt want to waste money on re-gassing if is nackered.

I've got a weird one for you...

After I fitted my group N, the AC doesn't work until I reach 160 km/h and then it works absolutely fine. But if I'm stuck in traffic or unable to reach 160 it's a nightmare, just blows hot air. It's been re gassed, new compressor and they can't find a problem lol.

Messed up mapping sounds like. The compressor is activated by the ECU.

No it won't engage if theres no gas in the system as it uses the AC refridgerant to lubricate the pump. So get it regassed and you should be away, although get it leak tested first.
