Panel all the way mate as you will suffer heat soak with an open K&N style.
A panel should be a piece of pi55 to fit. Just replace the original and possibly uprate the feed while you're at it.
He means that the K&N open cone filter will be sucking in all the hot air from under the engine bay witch is not a good thing for power etc etc . Uprating the feed means finding a better cold air point on the car or getting a better cold air feed pipe . If u do get an IK make sure u get a good cold air feed to it or it will lose you power or look at a viper or something like that witch is a fully inclosed unit with a cold air feed going strate to it . hope this helps .
Id just keep the cold air feed it already has . Just undo the air box will have about 4/5 screws / clips and take the top off then take out your old paper filter and put in your new one . Job done
