What are people runnin??

is there any difference between different panel filters or just price??

cheers

fair difference when tested back to back. Pipercross is less restrictive than ITG by a big margin, and the price is a lot lower too

never seen any of the reviews of the knn pannel filter. ive got one in and it does the job but ive ran out of cleaning kit for it so wondering if the pipercross is much better?

yeh, best one for a phase 2 air box. Only thing any better really would be the jms induction kit as all the others seem to loose you power

I dont necessarily believe that i think a decent induction kit can be just as good, people have only been able to test for powr figures on dynos, were there is obviously going to be alot more engine heat as it doesnt have the added cooling of the air or the cold air been rammed down the CAF. When out on the road with a few well placed CAF's i think power will be the same as with a standard air box. Especially when getting up to speed say 100+ plus all the good kits have heat shields aswell which must help a little. Someone please correct me if im wrong but those are my beliefs.

Faster air pulling heat off the Rad.....

An effective deflector on the Rad is the only way to make an open cone work.

Picture of my kit. Surely the box around the cone is helping to prevent radiator heat, using the original caf and also there is another caf fed thru a hole in the bottom of the box that leads out to the front bumper. Onlt reason i say this is i certainly didnt feel any loss of power after i fitted mine, if anything was just a little more responsive

Popular theory states that 7 degrees C in intake temp inceases over ambient equals a lose of around 1% of potential power - the more you can do to prevent this increase the better. That said at 60mph the engine bay only holds a steady 5-8 degrees above ambient so it's not life changing.

The difference in performance between the ITG elements & pipercross is quoted from some of our own testing where the piper units improved intake pressure by around 5-6 mBar.

Hi Pal not sure of any stores but try direct car parts online, i've used them in the past and they are really good, also they have the filters in stock at £37
