air intake

Hi
ive got a clio dci dynamique 80
my air intake is becoming unraveled a little,
is there any way i can fix this,
or is it a case of buying a new intake,
inn which case i may aswell get a decent aftermarket one?
also, recently my cars been feeling a little sluggish lately
and on having a search it suggests it could be my EGR valve?
how do i check this and what do i do to go about fixing it?

i will be doing a group buy on cold feeds shortly, check my posts and you will see the kits,
as for feeling slugish i'd check plugs and clean out the inlet and throttle body with some carburettor and inlet cleaner first before you spend loads of money

they both seem a bit involved
and i havnt done much mechanical tinkery before
how much will it cost at a garage,

would be looking at probably 1-2 hours labour plus parts if needed, plugs are easy to swap mate you any where near chesterfield?

im near blackburn

spark plugs
see if they are covered in carbon then just clean the inlet you may be fine

its a dci
no spark plugs
just glow plugs
but thats only to start it
ive been using redex to clean my injectors recently
to clean the inlet, doesnt it involve removing top cover depressurising fuel system etc?

sorry dude didnt read your profile (fail) could be loads of things get some fuel system cleaner like kataclean not red-x and try that in a full tank
