Airbag light quick question

I read the guide on turning this off, very helpful!

My question is: Does adding the resistor turn the light off itself, or must the light be reset?

May be of help, but found faulty side impact sesnor on my lads clio, it was corrded 'cos of the water from the sunroof leak!
