airbox question

I see a lot of people changing to the ph1 airbox and the v6 airbox aswell.

I have a standard ph2 one, so what's the big deal about changing it? Less restrictive? Give me half a bhp? More noise?

Would I be better to just get a panel filter for my ph2 box?

So question is what's the Advantages of the ph1/v6 box over my ph2 box with a panel filter?

v6 box makes a bit more noise. bhp gains won´t be noticeable.
