Gearbox/clutch issues

  2006 197
Hi I am new to the forum, I bought my 197 last year an I could do with some advice on what my be causing issues with my clutch/gearbox.

- Clutch is very low. It was replaced by PO around 25,000 miles ago. I have tried bleeding it and I have removed the in line damper which improved things but it is still needs to be pushed to the floor for smooth(ish) changes.
- Very difficult to change from 1st to 2nd at high revs. The lever refuses to pull back into 2nd gear until the revs have dropped.
- At high revs when rolling the throttle off and back on I can feel the gear lever move.
- Changes from 5th to 6th are generally good but occasionally it blocks and I have to move the lever to the right to get it into 6th.

The car is currently on 90,000 miles. Looking through the history the gearbox has been changed twice once at 50,000 miles and again at 77,000 miles. The clutch was changed at 62,000 miles, its not clear whether the slave was changed at the same time.
Not that its really relevant but I have also fitted polybush inserts to the engine and gearbox mounts.

I was planning to change the clutch and slave again to see if that helps, and am also considering changing the box for a used one. I have read somewhere that end float in the gearbox can cause the gear lever to move, could this also cause the difficulty in changing between 1st and 2nd and and 5th to 6th ?
I was planning to use the car to compete in a few hillclimbs (standard class) but need to sort this first.
Has anyone experienced the above issues and if so how did you sort them ?
Any help/advice would be appreciated

Cheers
