Anyway here goes, was a fantastic day, and we had 14 competitors running up to 6 times each through the sprint, with some informal drag-racing to round the day off. The weather was kind to us, and the competition was fierce.

So fierce that I counted several sets of rear seats and plenty of spare wheels littering the side of the strip as everybody searched for those elusive seconds. One competitor even whipped his spare wheel out while he was waiting for the countdown on the startline (mentioning no names LOL, it worked though eh?).

We tried running a handicap system this time round and it seemed to work quite well, with fairly close results.

It was also good to see how everyone improved throughout the day, and apart from the odd mishap, like almost sliding through the braking control box, there was little in the way of problems for anyone as far as I'm aware.

No 5 Clarkie... you know it makes sense...

Sweet, I thought I had improved throughout the day but that confirms it, a whole 10 seconds off between my first run and my 5th (I'm ignoring the last run because I locked up and slid through the box!), can't argue with that.

If I had another 12 hours I may have been up with the other 172/182 drivers :eek:

Interesting, once i knew the layout it seems pretty consistant, Passenger added 1sec on fifth lap for me (prob 80kg). Tore rear seats out (~15kg) for all but first run aswell. Totally standard otherwise.

Damn that 106 was even quicker than i thought, superb times (clutch was weak on it too).

Yeah I spotted you as you were flying off down the slip road! Will be along to the SW meets in future, had a great day yesterday.

Well done to every one.
Im happy with my efforts anyway-LoL id have been more wild in my own car,but thanks again to Shaun if he reads this for lending me the 106 to use.

I brimmed the tank when i left home, did just over 100 miles on the road + about 7 runs there. Had over half tank left when i got back!

I did 12.5mpg whilst there according to the computer. I then reset it when I left and had a horrible journey home behind slow traffic moving constantly at about 35mph, I managed 46.6mpg!

Its near Exeter in Devon sohrob. We have had a few down there now over the last year.But the word is this was the last one :(

Good stuff Mark... Do you have any video footage?

I've sorted my car out now - Temp sensor has been fixed (again)...

Look forward to the next one... ;-)

pete has some vids but hes managed to break his computer or sommat so he cant edit/upload the vids i think :rolleyes: :nono:
