Akermann change

I was wondering if anyone try 182 cup hubs on 172..
I've seen there is different in the akermann on the hubs.
Is it something worth doing ?

Yes I've done it.. mainly for the bigger wheel bearing hoping they will last longer on track than the smaller breaking in the 54mm hubs.

Running 172 Cup wheels on 182 Cup-equipped car won't cause a problem due to the difference in offset will it?
