Alarm help please

When i set the alarm with the key fob the indicators flash twice and a continuous beep sounds for 1 minute, i dont think this is normal is it?

Also the car locks itself after 1 minute of being unlocked still with the continuous beep for 1 minute, can anyone help?

It should't beep for a minute sounds like a setup problem with the alarm you need to go to a dealer or Cobra alarm specialist get them to check on the setup of the alarm.

The car does lock itself though if you when you unlock it you don't open the doros in a certain amoutn of time (30 second I think).

Do the alarms always beep wen you lock/unlock. Because I test drove an 03 dci billabong dynamique and it beeped when I opened it. But the indicators just flashed twice when I locked it.Did I do something wrong? Are you meant to hold the lock button?

Corbas can be programmed to do different thing I think mine flashes it light twsie when ti locks or unlocks I've never realy checked.

I always check the doors just to be sure.

Cobra alarms are shite, how many times do I have to tell you ppl DOH!!!! Get a TOAD AI606 Ive had this model for over 5 years and had no prob

The OEM alarm on these cars is notorious for failing in all sorts of ways.
It really is a waste of time trying to get it repaired unless you want to fill your dealers pockets.

It is very easy to replace it with a better quality one, my preference is for Clifford as I know and trust the product.

You can read what I wrote about my Sons car and if you feel competent you could do it yourself, its really very straightforward.

Don’t get drawn to a complex system, as there is no need. The cars immobiliser is still the best anti-theft system on the car and the Cobra alarm fitted is just a very cheap method of bringing the system up to Thatcham level. (They claim Cat 1, but its not)

Cobra might not be the best but I wouldn't have put Toad on the top of any list IMO.

Plus you've got to get it fitted plus its not the normal one.
