You don't say what car you have but i am assuming it is a 182, the alarm does not make any bleeps to confirm it has been armed, if you are too quick on arming the alarm after switching the ignition off, the vehicle ecu signals the alarm and tells it the ignition is on and beeps, this signal is only received for 3-4 secs, you can take it to your dealer and quote 'RS+15' and they will fix it for you or just wait 5 secs after shutting door before arming alarm.
If you swich your ignition on/off twice in less than 10 secs, then arm alarm it will beep 3 times to confirm you have de-activated the interior ultrasonic sensors.
If your alarm has activated, it will beep 4 times when you next de-activate to tell you it had been triggered.
You will get a continuous beeping if you try to arm alarm with a door, boot or bonnet open.
