alloy weight quicke...

..got myself some Performance alloys PA-1s 16" ((from performance alloys)).

i like the look but iam wondering if because they are a cheapish alloy that they will weigh more?? does anyone know what the weight (without tyre) the standard MKII172 16" alloys are. This weigh <<get it i can compare the two.

they are 17kg with tyres so i dunno withought light alloys are like 6k each magnesium are even lighter

I stuck mine on the bathroom scales - standard Dynamique 15s with tyres were 15kg, my NEW KOSEI 17s with tyres are 14.5!

P.S: If you sell the old ones & need to post (I just have) the cheapest quote by a mile was £36.76 OVERNIGHT (Northants to Redcar) including insurance with Action Express on 01604-700400 (ask for George).

cool thats a nice bit of weight saving.. so hopefully the with the same size i should see 1.5kg saving per alloy. my 16" cost £87 each (£99+vat)) is that too cheap to expect good quality alloy??

the company distributes world wide so they may have been able to make some sort of saving ((basically its a re-badged alloy))
