Alloy wheel cleaner has other benefits?

Will alloy wheel cleaner bring up the head on my engine? It's looking a little down and I want to bring it back up silver again..

What do you all think, should I give it a go?

It does work, but it massively discolours any plastics that you WILL get it on. If you can brush it on you may be ok, but don't say I didn't warn you! Lol
