having problems with my alternator kicking out too much power which in turn is blowing bulbs and making the amps for my stereo cut off and crackle!
i been told i need a new one but cant find anything cheaper than £95, anyone help appreciated! oh and its a 95 16v ta!

I suspect your only option would be to fork out for it as I cant remember ever seen one much cheaper than a 100 squid. Look a b**ch to fit, so let us know how you get on. Could take it off and take it to a back street auto electrician, sometime they have the diode pack/voltage regulator seperate, which is probably what is away on yours.
