Alternator

Hi all!
My 182 has recently come up with the 'battery and stop light' warning light.

Looking for an alternator. Do I need to go Genuine or will an equivalent from a motor factors do? They're all quite pricey!

Where's the best place to buy?

Highly recommend getting a genuine Valeo one.

Cheaper motor factors ones never last.

Renault Wolverhampton are about the cheapest at about £180-90.

Was thinking the same. Buy cheap, buy twice as they say! Unfortunate timing - MOT,, 4 tyres and aux belt too! Argh

Make sure it is the alternator first before buying one.

A loose wire on the battery will bring up the same lights.
