hi,

lookin at my back alloys on my 1.2 mark 1, the alloys seem to be angled in towards the car very slightly, and i dont know if its an optical illusion but i think they are.

what i mean very basically is that the part of the wheel closest to the front is inside the arch more than the the back, therefore at an angle

yeah i know its a crap discription but best i could do!!!

would anyone know why it would do this and if its as simple as the wheels have not been tracked or put on incorrectly??

thanks Patty

std cars have understeer designed in, and by running rear toe in you are affecting the slip angle during the corner...i.e. the rear wont come sliding round easy.....you cant change it. BUT, saying that, the actual shape of teh hell does not help, its wider infront of the rear wheel than behind......dont worry, you cant adj anyway,

its jus i get the feeling its rubbin on the inside, when i brake, i dnt know if its the wheels?? its a wierd noice, does sound like its rubbin or its rumbling??

I always think the exs valvers back wheels arent straight, but I think it is an optical illusion to do with the shape of the arches...

If the car makes the rubbing sound when you are going fast round a bend, then it might be something to look at. Other wise it is probably just the wheel cambre so as when turning, the outside wheel is always pressed into the road.

Get your brakes checked (park on a shallow hill and slowly roll down using the handbreak to steady speed), or it might be your rear shocks.

could that not just be your bearings?

Most cars have a slight "toe in" at the back. Look at an MR2 and its different one side to the other on every one I have seen.
