ive had my little 172 for just over a month now and i still get excited at the thought of driving it, wash it religiously every week rain or shine and gaze at it through the window with a big beaming smile on my face as im thinking "thats mine that is". am i the only one and does this make me a saddo. please tell me im not the only one

still a buzz everytime i get behind the wheel! 7 months on and i love it! doesnt get polished every week but she has got a good layer of the stuff on! not sad if you enjoy something you've worked hard for........... as long as you drive it. personally think its abit sad to pamper it keep it dry stored etc....

Not sad at all, I still love mine and have had it a long time. Love driving it now.
I keep it clean as much as I can, spend a couple of hours on thursday cleaning it all and its come up lovely.
Shame its filthy again after its drive to Brighton.

My mum and dad live about 100 meters from me.But instead of walking round to see them l get in the car,do a left to Whitefield,onto the M60,then the M66 and come off at Pilsworth,then along Croft Lane and back up to their house...must be about 3.5 miles...never clocked it though !

Hitting the rev limiter on the slip roads is so much fun

im a fellow gurner for lookin at what car/van/truck/plane/boat i own. i take pride too and like to admire what ive achieved so far in this life of ours that is particulary f'kin hard. Sit back and see how you achieved gettin your clio. Yes it may not be a ferrari or bently-but you have worked for it kid and you enjoy it......jesus im thinkin of becomin a priest......there again sod that im off to the pub.

ive had mine2 years now and i stil love drivin her.. As been said already im always takin the long route anywhere just to get a longer drive =/ i dont clean her weekly more like every 2/3 weeks sometimes a month^^
Am gonna go for a v6 next year but ill still keep my cup.. i know id regret gettin rid if ever i did.

Im just like you somedays! At 19 I think its quite an achievement to have a 2 litre car, im not a rich person but i worked hard to get the money and saved up my no claims etc.. I wash mine at least once every 2 weeks come rain or shine! =]
