amp and sub rms ratings

Hi,

Can anyone tell me should an amp rated at 250w rms be able to run a sub rated at 300w rms/1200w peak with no trouble?

ive always thought its better to get a bigger amp so you can turn it down slightly. so you dont blow the amp nor the sub

it is best to have an amp that can run the sub at 85% of its capacity

the set-up you want will kill the amp (no bad thing its rockford

)
try and find an amp that will run 350wRMS to avoid any issues
