amp needs two power cables

i have got a precison power amp which needs two power cables and 2 ground cables should i use 2 ground cables on the power cap as well

Dont bother with the power cap imo. But if you have to it needs a fused live from teh battery and then one to the amp and just the single earth.

so your saying a 1.2 farad cap will do nothing for a 1500 Rms Amp?

Any power cap wil do nothing for any amp. Better to upgrade the battery, alternator and the battery earth.

i noticed a massive difference when i installed a yellow top and an extra 25mm2 earth

Basically a power cap will help with bass once- the first time. From then on it will take pwer away from the amp to recharge itself so will detract from sound quailty. Go for the same route that Dink has.

Thanks alot for your help. I allready have a high performance battery will the stock alternator on my clio take the drain of a 1500rms amp

mine keeps going flat ans i think i've got the biggest alt ren do for the clio

What rms are you running? Is there anyway i can stop by battery draining without spending loads?

suppposed to be 1000wRMS but the voltage is set to be about 1200wRMS

and i think my alt outputs 98A at 100%.

I don't think it costs that much to get your alt re-wound to a higher output current
