well im 18 and if i could afford the insurance i would 100% have one.i think wen they say too young and inexperienced they mean you need to drive it carfully because its a big difference between a 1.4 and a 16v. i will have one within the next 2 years

I think the reason people said about your age is that you see so many prats in hot hatches that give themselves a bad name - esp. Nova, saxo, escort, fiesta drivers etc etc. The clio seems to have a good name, you know what i mean? Im only 22 but ive got a valver and I earned it. I drove a sh*tbox nova for 3 years, paid all the insurance myself, built up my no claims, found a good 16v and bought it. I think people just want you to appreciate wot youll have and not act like a prat (Im sure you wouldnt) Loads of people I see that are young drive around in big/fast cars but are on thier parents insurance or whatever and dont appreciate what theyve got.

I hope this makes sense. Get it, love it but above all appreciate it.

cant get my valver i cant get the insurance for it they said 900 inline quote from lv but i phoned and they couldnt give me it, i hand a crash a month ago (someone crashed into the back of me not my fault) would this have swayed it and made them not give me it.

I’m 23 at the moment and I have a MK2 172, I also have had a 1.2 Clio and a Clio 16v. I got my valver when I just turned 20 it cost me £5K and the insurance was very expensive £1400 FC!!!!!, taking into account I only earned about £14k a year then this motor was skinting me out big time. So guess what I go and do to my pride and joy..... ROLL THE C*** DOWN A F***ING EMBANKMENT!!!!!! Was I to young and inexperienced for the 16v probably yes, what do you guys think. Tim, the answer to your question is probably yes, but of course you might have been showing off (as boys do), driving badly, driving too fast, or just unlucky if your accident was caused by someone hitting you. What did happen?

Thankfully you escaped, which is the main thing, as cars can usually get repaired whereas occasionally bodies cant

Yesterday morning about eight miles from where I live, three people from one family were killed instantly because of an impatient Porshe driver who couldnt wait behind another car for about 200 yards, until the dual carriageway started, when it would have had loads of space to get past.

It pulled out on a single carriageway to overtake and hit an oncoming minibus killing three of the family and injuring others.

Let this be a lesson to the young guys here, be patient and overtake only where it is safe to do so.

Was going to fast off a wet island, lost the back end of the car slid backward off the road then rolled over twice down an embankment. lucky all three of us walked away with just a few cuts.

Right, that website for L-V worked in the end... It came up as between 850 and 1050 for the Williams... I have just renewed for 1350.... I rang them up as I was gonna switch to them, but they said they couldnt quote me?!?!?!!?
