Amping fronts - which crossovers?

Alright people,

Recently replaced my standard front components with the Pioneer TS-Q131C Renault replacements. Nice and easy install which took about half an hour and I'm quite impressed but I've now decided to amp them. The issue is they don't come with crossovers and I guess I'm right in thinking that if I am to amp them then I'll need a set? Any ideas on what I should be looking for and from where? I'v had a look around but can't seem to find any which don't come separate to the speakers....

your crossover for these is the built in filter on the tweeter,you cant upgrade to have crossovers,if you want to step up buy some new speakers time unfortunately,if you wanna get the most outta your current set up get some dynamat,etc and make what youve got better

Cheers for the info mate but would there be no other possible way to amp these? See I don't really want to have to go out and buy another set after just getting these in....

you can amp them just how you would do anyway you just dont have crossovers

Nice, hopefully with a bit of sound deadening they'll sound even better! One thing I can't get my head around though....

Given that the tweeters have built in crossovers how exactly would I go about amping them and the mids? I currently have a 4 channel amp to power both the fronts and the rears. The rear coaxials are no problem to amp but the front compenents I have no idea about?!

As far as i know you just amp them as normal but you are unable to adjust the crossovers.

You simply connect both tweeter & mid driver in parallel from each side to one amplifier channel, so the right amp channel drives the right mid driver & right tweeter....
Each side should look something like this;

apparently they sound pretty good amped

They are VERY good speakers, especially when AMP'd i was highly impressed! i fitted them in a friends car sound quality is amazing
