Day 2:
Evening!
OK so after the failure of day one i.e. just getting a bottle of wine, I decided to really crack on on Monday evening.
The start and looking over the car it really does not need a lot of work at all, but I wanted to make certain it was 100% for Alex
First stage was to snow foam and pre wash the car, ready for the stages ahead. I wanted to get the car in a fit state to leave over each night. First step, the foaming. Karcher pressure washer, foam lance attachment and a concoction of Megs Gold Class Shampoo and Super Snow Foam, (1:4) and then topped up with warm water;
The car was then jet washed off to leave me with this;
The car was then washed. I used two Megs Lambs Wool wash mitts, four buckets, two filled with Megs Gold Class shampoo, the other being just water. The secondary buckets were for the wheels, which included another mitt, a Megs wheel brush and some others that I have collected over the years. Car was then jet washed off again.
The car was then fully checked for bad areas that needed claying, as well as any tar spots. The rear felt a little rough, but could not spot a single tar mark what so ever, which pleased me considering the amount of road works around me currently!!
The above pic shows the clay after the rear. I used Megs last touch at 5:1 and Megs quick clay as the car really didn't need touching. Just wanted to make extra certain.
The car was then washed down again using the same method (only two buckets this time as wheels were done) and jet washed down again, leaving me with this;
OH HAI!
Not exactly bad to start with!!
Still in our thoughts and minds Dan, RIP buddy;
And then backed into the garage having removed the 8 much to the neighbours delight
Here she was dried with 3x I4Detailing Uber plush drying towels. Never ceases to amaze me how good these towels are!!
And here she sat as I went in for a beer etc
