Another EDC auto box fault. 2015 clio RS 220 trophy

  Clio 220 Trophy
After some advise please.

2015 Clio 220T phase 1. Stopped in traffic a few days ago. Came up with "check auto box" message. Lost 1st 3rd and probably 5th gear (didn't check) fault code was for "clutch 1 torque, torque error" stop started the car and cleared the fault. The fault hasn't come back.

But I've noticed in 3rd and 5th it seems like the clutch is slipping. I accelerate, the revs climb, but the speed doesn't change much.

Have it booked in with local Renault main dealer garage in 3 weeks for a diagnostic. Not sure what they will say if there is no fault present at the moment.

I hear alot about battery and or TCU reprogramming but I feel like it's more an issue with the actual clutch?

Any help, ideas, or advise would be appreciated.

No idea what you’re on about 😂😂
205,402 miles and counting…

Firstly I’d be asking what mileage the OP’s car is on, if it’s ever had a battery replaced?
Just over 68k miles. I have never changed it. I have had the car less than a year. The battery is a Drivetec DRBDA096.

it’s clearly had one as that’s not a standard battery.

However that’s no guarantee it’s not on its way out.

It’s the cheapest option to start with but I’d be taking note of the clutch temps via RS monitor if you have it.

No RS monitor yet.

After driving I check the clutch temps with a diagnostic tool and they are always both equal. Between 50-70 degrees the times I've checked.

Battery voltage is around14.5v when engine running and the lowest I've seen with engine off is 12.3v.

So it could be a TCM issue.

I’m fairly convinced my TCM problem was a circuit break that would open when the module got warm. Cant prove that as haven’t opened the module and looked. However, my issues only seemed to happen on hotter days.
