can any body please tell me what this rusty piece of metal is stick out next to the engine cover. looks like it is bolted to the air intake or something.

Yup, take off the 2 10mm bolts.

yeah no worries, or do you have any goddies to swap. Ill clean it up and see what it looks like tomorrow when i take it off

IMO keep it handy in your car garage won't like having to try get your engine out without using it.
