Another Inner Cv joint split within 1 week

Just noticed the new driveshaft inner cv has split on me, same place as on the last one.... what could the cause be?

has the car had a nasty knock at some point, some times the geometry can be slightly out and put excess pressure on the CV joints.

IIRC it clipped a kerb ages ago to avoid a woman driver or something of the likes

True didnt even think about that at all! Here goes the search for another ffs. Last one was on many many thousands of miles

did you fit a new one or a good used one?

Or did you get the other repaired? (someone told me you can do this if it's only a nik in it) feck that carry-on I went & got a new one

Got the outer boot fitted on Thursday, the Renault one I bought didn't fit as Donnelly Bros fitted an aftermarket driveshaft last year (even though they quoted me for an OEM part)
Ended up getting one of those expanding boots and all is well again

there's your problem. IMO that almost doesn't exist bought in 3 once and all had early signs of splitting. An new one from renault is the only way to go, or you'll keep having the same problem
