Another new member from Dubai !

Hi my name is Hossam El-Ansary and I come from Egypt.

First of all I would like to say that this is a great site and it's good to have the ability to exchange ideas with other Clio Sport members from all over the world

I have been living in Dubai for the last couple of years working in the Banking sector (Marketing Department). I bought a Renault Sport Clio 182 with the cup package option about 3 months ago and I have to say I am enjoying it!

Below are my acievements in Autocross racing:

-Egyptian Autocross Champion in 2003 and 2004 (category and overall)
-Abu Dhabi Autocross Champion in 2005 (category and overall)
-Dubai Autocross Champion in 2005 (2 liter stock category and tied for 1st overall)

SPot on man...welcome!! I have spent alot of time in Dubia.. I used to live in Muscat and travel up alot. I then moved to Bahrain so I still used to fly across alot. Love the place!! Needs more corners though for a clio Sport!!!!

I've found the haven for RS's in Dubai,its called Jebel Hafeet,the Aston V8 was tested there,its a 7 mile hill climb with gradients of 3-5%.

Donz144, yeah could definately use more corners and less stright line highways! But we also have the Dubai Autodrome which is an excellent track. Haven't enjoyed the clio there yet, but will do it soon!

John, Jebel Hafeet is awesome, would love it if they could organize a hillclimb there! How is your new clio 182 by the way? It's starting to be more and more popular in the racing community in Dubai since it was launched.

Loving every second with the car although i've concluded i've picked the worst colour ever to have in the desert,lol. As soon as i've washed/waxed it and drive off it gets a layer of dust on it,literally no joke. I've sent you a PM.
