Another RS Tuner thread, please look

  Punto JTD
Are you sure there is no BHP gain? I saw a thread here which showed a before and after dyno remap, taking at RSTuning. There was definitely a gain in BHP. Is the RS Tuner map the same as the RSTuning map?

  Renaultsport Clio 197
ofcourse not
rs tuning is a company in leeds,
rs tuner (fastchip) is in Holand :approve:

Its not a placebo affect. Its real. The difference is so real in fact that when you notice it (right away) words come out your mouth.

My first remap i put my foot down and was like "holy fukc!" It transformed the car. Im looking to go back a few maps to that one as it was the best for me

Sorry to bump the thread, but a quick q....

Instead of using a laptop (which I don't have) could I just wheel my desktop out to the garage and use that instead?

This sounds very interesting to me, however, does anyone here have any experience or knowledge on calibrating and mapping etc themselves? Or even just uploading existing calibration files using means other then the RS Tuner? Since its what I do at work I would love to have a go on my Clio.

Firstly, does anyone know how I can connect my laptop to the ECU, could I use a Kvaser Leaflight plugged into the DLC on the Clio? I assume the RS Tuner plugs into the DLC?

Secondly, what user interface or calibration software can we use? I use ATI Vision at work, anyone know if we can use this with Renaults? Is there some Renault specific software that could be bought?

Shall I email RS Tuner and see of they could just supply the software and calibration files for me?

Any help much appreciated!!

On 2nd thoughts, just had a good look at the RS Tuner site and he's made it all so simple and cheap that I think I'll keep my life simple, leave work at work and buy a kit from him. Seems really good value!!

Yep - might be a bit hard to do performance monitoring and data logging is all - but you will certainly be able to save and load maps.

  Clio's
If i already have a remapped ecu would this still benefit me or would it just change the map i already have?

you'd have to upload his ecu file and calibration file so you'd just loose the map you've already paid for, did mine yesterday very easy and was nice this morning without all that kangorooing nonsense!

Yeah drop me a PM if you get stuck.

As for the Meggy The FR4 Turbo is listed as being supported providing teh VIN falls into the following Range-

F4R 2.0 Turbo Engine
BM0M,CM0M,BM11,CM11,BM1L,CM1L
BM0W,CM0W,CM1V,CM2H

Cant say i have spotted you about either TBH? the only renault sports i have spotted about is a Black Meg F1 on White wheels down near Bournhall Avenue, a 172 in Iceburg Silver at the Top of Little Bushey Lane and My Iceburg Silver Cup.

Meganes and Clio 197s have a differenet fitting to the 1*2s so you have to buy the once specific to them, but yes they do work.
