**Another Torsion Bar Question**

Hey guys and girls,

looking fo r a bit of advice, i have just put some 16s on my car to replace my 15s and ive got a bit of a problem.... i cant raise the torsion bar back up. at the moment the wheels are scrubbing real bad!!! and when i got to adjust the bar it wont move down only up.... i know it must go down because the car is very low at the moment so is there anyone who can give me some advice, ive tried using a hammer and no joy!!! thanks

youll have to remove the torsion bar, sprang down the rear arm, meassure the distance and hold it at the correct distance while you re-fit the torsion bar.unbolting the shocker might make it easier.

The shock is held by 2 bolts, one at the end of the trailing arm, and if you follow it up it connects to the chassis with another bolt.

Its about the only other part in that area so you cant miss it.

which bout do i have to undo and does anyone know why it wont return to its origanal position, its really annoying.... will i be able to pull the bar down more if i undo these bolts?

what will happen on undoing the bolt? will it move more freely?? and ill be able to move the bar down? when would i do the bolt back up??? before or after sticking the torsion bar back in?

by removing the shocker the rear arm should move a lot easier.set the level you want, refit the torsion bar and rebolt your shocker last.
