Any Cisco router specialists out there?

Just a little techie question, if there is!

We've got quite a few 1841-ADSL routers happily running along with no problems.

Yet we have two of the 1841-SDSL versions and both seem to be very busy, even though they are doing little. One supports just three PCs via a VPN and the CPU on the router is anywhere between 90-95% utilisation. The other, is doing nothing as yet and is hovering around the 20% CPU utilisation mark, simply twiddling its thumbs.

Any ideas, chaps? The ADSL versions are far more busy in terms of traffic, yet the CPUs are less busy? :S

Cheers,
D.

We have that but don't use the cisco h/w

Have you looked at the loggs to see what it's doing? Could be an issue with the firmware for those SDSL routers and might need to upgrade it.

Sorry not much help here.

Cheers for the feedback, chaps!

I'm pretty much sure that the firmware is both the same on the SDSL routers and certainly the IOS image is. Then again, I've fecked up before on 'assuming' things!

Moz - looks a good link that, m8. I've give that one a go - cheers!
