I want a new camera, but have no idea (at all) what to go for.

We are going to Kenya next year on Safari and my wife wants a good camera for then so I suppose that may encourage me to up spend slightly (However if too much I will borrow my dads SLR for the Safari).

It would used for general photo'ing and my car - and of course next year. I wouldn't be opposed to second hand purchases either.

A couple hundred I suppose and wouldn't rule out second hand also.

As for colour, I would prefer pink and it to be very small. Remind me of Revels micropenis.
