Any Idea's?

hey all, ive got a clio 1.2 mk2, and tbh it runs fine but i was just wondering if anyone had any ideas on how i could make my clio any faster?
i know that people dont advise doing up a 1.2 but i just want to give it a boost,
like accelarating, top speed, anything would help really.

8v or 16v?? Either way it would be more beneficial losing some weight and concentrating on braking and handling.

Your not going to be able to get any more power out of it without slashing £££ at it and then it still wont be fast.

Good suspension set up (coilovers), strip the back seats out to lose weight and maybe an exhaust if you fancy.

Drop a 172 engine into it. Seriously though don't waste your money start saving for your next car.

when I was a naive 17 year old I had a 1.6 litre ford, and I spent alot of money trying to get more power, even from a 1.6.. and anything short of boost (thousands of pounds) wouldn't of made a big difference.

when you sell the car and add the thousands needed to get near a 172's power, you could buy a 172 and make some really nice subtle modifications -and- insure it.

plus the more you do to such a small engine the more you push it's limitations, the eventual result will be a big bang and lots of tears.
