Any one know this clio?

Im new to this forum just got a clio 182 cup couple of days ago and noticied has the .net stickers in the rear window was just wondering if it is known on here? as far as i know it has springs and a decat power flow exhast i also have recipts for recondition of engine with fly wheel in there too so its posible it has lightened fly? engine seems a bit lumpy i first thought cams but with a bit of a read on hear it seems to be the normal with these.

i could have introduced my self a bit better but i like to get to the point as you may see in my up coming posts so if anyone has any info on this it would be very much appreciated.

Hi and welcome, I don't think that will have been on here for a good few years as it still has the ktec lower grill.

i take it ktec lower grills are things of the past? i wasnt to fond of it my self and i was wondering this how do you tell? i know its missing thefront splitter im not bothered really if it is or isnt a cup i just wanted to have a little french car again

Yeah, they stopped doing them years ago when the modifying scene changed to oem+

The splitter is something stupid like £180 to replace so people fit a skoda fabia splitter for £11

its got the cup spoiler and I'm guessing cup suspension but as it's arctic blue, has xenons, leather and climate control it's a 'full fat' (standard car specced with both cup packs). Cups only came in racing blue and inferno orange.


Theres a guide in the guide section that tells you how to check for cup suspension

i think that confirms its been a replica project as im guesing this is a realy old photo with the standard lights as it doesnt have xenons at the moment and thanks for the fabia tip i will look into to that now

I was looking at a few 182's a couple of weeks ago and test drove that one.. Apparently the guy left it unlocked and someone stole the gear knob and the renault badge off the front..

It goes well though!

yeah renault badge is missing and yeah its not bad what was your opinion on the steering feels stiff and has a bit of slack in the middle before you start to turn?

Steering on these cars are only PAS so they are heavy.. That car also has aftermarket lowering springs on it too which might not help!

I noticed the same as you regarding the dead spot in the middle, check the tyre pressures and take it to have a full alignment/geometry check done, that's probably all it is!

And it does look like one of the previous owners had a bit of a thing for stickers!

supose it wasnt a good idea comparing steering to the girlfriends 1.2 clio then? and i only have 12 days insurance left on the astra so as soon as im insured on the clio ill take it to get looked at.

thanks for that from the info gatherd so far k-tec grill and your links from 2006/2007 i think this has been away from the forums a long time :/
