So I've recently picked up another 182, the previous owner seems to think it's had a different inlet manifold fitted in the past and a remap to no doubt go along with that. Is there a way to find out for sure if this is the case? It doesn't have the 5k kick so I'm guessing there is something there that isn't standard. I don't know if it is linked but the revs seem to hang around 1200rpm for a lot longer than you would think normal when you either put the clutch in at higher revs or coast down, it means that stop start and slow moving traffic is a pain in the arse as the car always seems to fight this and so has a tendency to kangaroo slightly rather than just pull from idle. Is this a sign of another problem, vacuum leak perhaps or merely a characteristic of whatever map has possibly been installed? Also the throttle pedal seems very sensitive for the first part of its travel, much more so than I remember it being in my Trophy which was still on the oem map, is this something which is normally altered with remaps? Any help much appreciated.
