I have no experience of any of the tuning companies that flaunt their wares on here but I have noticed that Cliosport, are in general, a very fickle bunch!!
I may start Laingo's Automotive Dept as a company and maybe next time I can be flavour of the month. It seems to me that the reaction to the tuners on here is entirely dependent on the 'status' of the person the work is being done for.
If he/she is in a big enough (forum) clique, as it were, then the rest jump on the bandwagon and a companies reputation is damaged as a result.
I have experience of Nick Hill. And aside from the fact he's 30mins down the road from me I can't think why I'd want to go anywhere else. He lets his work do the talking.....

Once again, the only ones slating a professional 'tuning' company are those who's friends have had work done and not the owners themselves.....funny that especially as about 10 people have posted and have been more then happy with the service.
I bought a brand new Plasma TV, 2 weeks down the line it packed in, so they exchanged it. A month later that one packed in........such as life.
For every bad experience theres 100 good experiences....you just dont hear from them all.
What is even funnier is the fact one of them doing the slating is delerious enough to think they are actually a tuning company because they have a 'Sporty' name ROFLMFAO
Terroristsport....just need to get some stickers made up now and a company to do all my work for me but charge 50% more.

Firstly....Fred,should i be worried you think Top Gun is the best film considering it was the biggest Gay Icon film of the 80's?
Mister Ego said:My car came back in peices.
Work described by my local mechanic as 'dangerous and downright unprofessional'. Decsribed by an engineer as 'kids work'.
Is that enough evidence to base my claims on?:clown:
But it was all made worth it when i picked up the car and they did that gag where they try to get the long plank through the narrow doorway. :clown:
me too..rmccardal said:No, it is not pointless. Let me tell you why (as a customer)
I spent a vast some of money with GDI over the course of a year. Below are just some of the bad points I have experienced.
The wiring loom is shoddy, was meant to be sorted but never has been. I dont even think its safe to be honest. I'd get some pics of it but GDI would lose every potential customer he has on CS .....
"" you're not the only one... and this is after countless hours of auto electrician work apparently ""
Both the OMEX and Racelogic control boxes were left "dangling" in the engine bay ... nice.
""sounds like my SMT6 lol""
The Racelogic traction control was installed incorrectly and GDI were unable to correct this in any kind of reasonable timescale. I have now spoken to racelogic and informed them of this.
The £1k brake kit I bought had to be removed due to poor quality discs that warped and a lack of help to rectify the problem.
GDI manage to blow up pretty much every AFR meter they install, don't ask me how as its about 6 wires and an auto setup program. (Mine and MarkM's both needed replacing)
Even basic things like my recaro's ... I ended up having to fit the drivers one myself because nobody there seemed to be able to do it.
When I pointed out I was losing oil I was told "they do that" have later found out there is actually a leak.
My engine also went pop on the RR allegedly due to a faulty spark plug (at 14k miles) I have had opinions from others and they were more inclined to think poor mapping was the cause (causing the plug to fail)
The rebuild on this alone was £800+
When going to LEDA to have the coilovers fitted they alerted me to the fact that a rear strut top was loose, guess who re-fitted the oe suspension the week before.
So overall I am now very annoyed at how GDI have treated me.
I used to really enjoy dealing with GDI, but the service levels have dropped as they take on more and more work they don't actually know how to do.
I'll stop now.
