Anyone colour coded their rear lights

Ive got a silver car and was thinking of just colour coding the lights instead of getting lexus ones. Hopefully being silver, it will let more light through than say black, but im not too sure. Anyone done this? Of cousrse the spray jobwill just be a blow over

go to http://www.renaultsportsclub.co.ukwww.renaultsportsclub.co.uk and look for James 328i s car its a MK1 PH3 in dark blue and hes colour coded his rear lights and it looks lush!

mine are done in black

the best way to do it is to get a bodyshop to do it, mix some of the paint with some laquer and just blow over it, thats how mine was done and it lets just as much light through as before...
