Anyone ever sold their used tyres?

I fitted 2x new tyres to the front of my audi today as they were getting a tad low, around 2.5mm left. Was gunna bin them, then thought i would put them on ebay see what happens. Some guy is picking them up 2moz for £30, nice, that £30 i nearly threw in the bin.

Still, if he's going to sell his car and his tyres are bald, its a cheap way of doing it.

dude picked them up today, hes just bought some 19s for his beemer so wanted some tyres to test as he worried about ride quality. £30 nice

To anyone in the trade or that knows, when your old tyres get put on the scrap wall of tyres, how much do the garage/fitters get for them? is it each or price per tonne etc?

our place gets charged £1 per tyre to have them taken away.

i got a part worn tyre shop to change my tyres (i supplied new ones)

£32 to fit them,

but they bought 2 accelera alpha with 5mm tread on each for £17 (for the pair)

We pay 75pence per tyre, and deliver them to kingpin, only 30 minutes away, more if they collect them. Try and get shut when there's 50 or so, as rats love the f*****s!!!

Cheers always wanted to know, would have thought they got money for them tbh, also justify's the tenner each for fitting if there not making on the scrap tyres.

£32 to fit 2 tyres, thats pretty expensive in my book. Maybe i am a tight northerner though!

Sold my Toyo's I had on after I got the PS3's. Got £15 each for the Toyo's still had around 4-5mm on them and were 225/40/18's.

Not a lot but better than just getting rid of them. Paid for the new set to be fitted and the tracking done anyway.
