Here we go again
I'm not an amp installing god, I'm not condescending either....I was merely pointing out flaws in your previous statements....
I assume the apology is aimed at the OP....
Unfortunately there are a large number of people frequenting forums such as this who believe everything they read must be factual, they simply don't follow the logic that most info supplied is third hand or worse....Its also fair to expect peoples opinions to differ, so little disagreements are going to occur....
Don't get a strop on about it, prove the other guy wrong....works everytime:approve:
Sorry mate, the 'Amplifier Gain Control Balls' has everything to do with system set up....Too much 'gain' will induce 'clip', too little 'gain' will result in lost 'performance'.....
Get the 'gain' set correctly & your amps output will mirror your head units output from minimum to maximum volume....Set the 'gain' too high and possible premature speaker failure becomes highly likely....
Not going to get techy about it, suffice to say, a 'clipping' amp kills coils....
I didn't state you had a problem with your system, in fact I'm happy your happy....
:lolup:Experience will always win mate, as you attempted to point out in 3 above, , and 4,
Tell you what, I'm an amicable guy;
Please accept my humble apology for sticking my oar in....:cheers:
