Anyone know this car?

Hi all, I've been looking around for a short while for a 182 or 197 and have come accross a couple. I have found a really nice looking, low mileage 182 not too far from where I lived, which had a cliosport.net sticker in the rear window.

Now the car is blue, just under 38,000 miles and the reg is RVO5 EXM. Its got black Cobra bucket seats (which personall I will be whipping out and putting back to standard, if I buy it) and some fancy JVC radio in it. Anyone know this car??

Everything looks good in the car but two quite major things which are bugging me/putting me off are -

The emmisions light is constantly on, which it says in the manual means it needs taking in to Renault and looking at but this csn be a common problem and the service light is covered with black tape? Which the dealer says he doesn't understand why that is and doesn't know how they've managed to get in there to do that?

Any help in identifying the car/ anything anyone knows about it would be much appreciated!

i dont know it tbh but if i were you i would be looking at getting a mint standard one. prices are rock bottom at the moment so plenty of choice. turds like that are best left alone

Has it got a decat on? That might be the source of emissions light. Has it gotany service history?

The emissions light being on might mean it has/ had a decat before it was traded in and the car's not had time to realise it's back on yet and put the light off. Or there's a lambda sensor fooked.

I'm not sure about decat, had a quick look but not sure we were looking in.the right lace. Where abouts would I be looking? And I just passed the car, I think its on auto trader but I'm on my phone CBA faffing about!

I'm goinh to view a 197 near to where I live tommorow. I'll keep looking

So the dealer knows its got black tape over the warning lights yet still hasn't tried to rectify the fault??

What is your budget for a car? If you can afford a 197 then go for it, is not there are plenty of better 182's around than that one!

Don't be afraid to travel for a decent car.

Basically, I can afford either but the 182 would be a more sensible option, moneywise. I'm just going to keep looking until I find the perfect one
