Anyone leave their airbox feed pipe disconnected?

Anyone leave their feed pipe permanently disconnected like in this guide? Any disadvantages and what are the advantages?

more than likely to get heat soak causing a minor dip in power, theres a reason for it being there.

ran mine with and without. sounds a bit better without but runs lke sh1t and noticeable power drop. especially mid range. leave it on.

no dif in mine apart from sound, i put it back on as i like it to be all standard and assembled like it should
