Also playing FEAR multiplayer a lot too, its a right laugh, cant understand why its not more popular than it is tbh
Slow-mo TDM has to be one of the coolest things online, taking several down in one room with the big weapons lol

it's not that poprular cause it's too system heavy. not enough people have high enough spec machines to run it well...

^ tbh I've never bought into the online and mag reviews on FEAR performance, I dont consider having a top PC but with a properly setup system and a bit of tweaking and sensible game settings (from www.tweakguides.com) you'd be surprised at how you can get it to run

I'm still running a mobile Athlon 2500 (o/c to 2.5Ghz FSB 212) AGP X800XT-PE and 1.5Gb DDR @ 424, hardly cutting edge but running it at 1280x960 with most settings high (except soft shadows) and it runs smooth even in intense battles

would a p4 3.0, 1 gig ram and a radeon 9800 128 agp run it ok do you think?

I ran Athlon @ 2.4 Ghz with 1Gb DDR memory and a 9700 Pro at 1024x768 on medium settings and 2xAA, 2xAF and it was definitely playable and looked quite good, I played the whole game on that rig, Only thing I've done since to play it a 2nd time is an extra 512 Mb memory and a X800XT-PE card (still AGP)
Main difference you could make with a cheap upgrade is extra 512Mb memory, big difference for me

It's true, I am working on a new contract just now. It started as a couple of weeks, and I've just returned home after that period. I've been asked to stay on 'til after Christmas though. I have F.E.A.R. Extraction Point, but I doubt I'l be installing it 'til Q1 2007. I will only be home every other weekend for a while, and installing games will not be my priority TBH

The expansion pack is very very good, BUT does not hav ethe same feel as the original, might be something to do with it being TimeGate making it rather than Vindivi. Still a worthwhile buy. Even tho abit short.

Oh and Roy i'll have your screenshot on Monday!... and you were right, i'll fold. But i still think you'll be surprised.
