Anyone upgraded from Sky to Sky HD?

Anyone know what Sky charge for upgrading from normal Sky to Sky HD?

I would be getting sky as a new customer (was in my girlfriends name before I moved house). Looking at the packages if I went for normal sky I would get free installation.
But if I went for Sky HD it would cost me £60 installation + £299 Sky HD box. You can probably see what Im thinking here....

If I had the one with free installation then say a month or so later asked to upgrade would I only pay for the HD box thus saving myself the £60?

yeah I know its an extra tenner a month but 60 quid's 60 quid in anyones money so if I got the naff package with the free install then upgraded if it doesn't cost nothing else then I save £60

I play tons of 360 and watch the odd movie which is why I bought it

My missus and kids watch "TV", never anything worth watching imo and sky's just repeats anyway, Ive seen it aaaalllllll before LOL

I dont see it as being tight I see it as being sensible... who's gonna pay for something when you dont have too? Thats £60 towards my car!
Aint bothered getting sky in like the 2 months Ive been living here and I dont miss it but the kids are nagging and since the digital TV reception sucks and most channels just say "poor signal" she wants sky again. So if I sign up to the standard package. Leave it a month then call em and say "hey I love sky so much I want your HD box" then I dont gotta pay the installation fee... I think?

they might say you have to wait a year or you might have to pay an upgrade fee as well as buying the box... give them a call say if i got the standard then bought a new tv and wanted to upgrade do i have to pay extra??

I think Sky are currently charging £150 to upgrade to Sky HD rather than £299, they were last week.

I think they will still charge you a £60 install fee if you try that method.
