Anyone upgraded to flickR pro??

Car  S2 106 GTI
Just curious on how many folk have upgraded? as I received a mgs asking if I wanted to upgrade due to having too many pics

Rich

I needed too, I have too many photos I want people to see... if you don't upgrade you can upload as many as you want but people will only see your most recent 200.

I'm a pro also.

IIRC you only get low res and approx 200 pics as a pauper anyway ? I think I uploaded close to that when I went to Goodwood FoS a couple of years back haha !

It's ~£17 a year... Just do it !

Edit: Also, havent found a 'generic' photohosting site which gives half as good quality as Flickr yet !

Its cheap enough to do and it saves you from removing photos so you don't go over the 200 limit.

I need to renew mine this month.

Flickr I found so hard to work compared with PB!

Not too bad if you have PS then upload to Flickr but at least PB gives the option to edit after uploading.

Have you tried the flickr uploader program?

Drag and drop, you can change alot of details about them etc. Give it a try.

I see what you mean.

Hmm I have an account and stuff just never got on with it at the first time of trying. Need to give it a go with my new camera pictures. I'm sure they will look a lot better on Flickr.

Why would you edit photos on a photohosting/showcase site ?

I'm aware that full-fat PS has a hilarious price tag, but things like The GiMP are free, but PS Elements are cheap in comparison to full PS. Google's picasa software is like iPhoto for simple editing, and is also free ...

I use flickr to showcase pictures, and Photobucket to host my 'tat' as it were.

Flickr dont really want people using their site to host images for forums either.

They want to build a community. They see it as more of a social network without text statuses (is that the plural of status? who knows?)
