you use macromedia contribute? not contribute to this thread, realise i didnt exactly word it right.

Been playing with it for the odd ten mins.

from what ive seen it just uses bits of fire works and dreamweaver and is a n FTP whihc you can quickly edit pages on?

its to allow your customers to easily edit pages using WYSIWYG

you set it all up, create a key with all the settings, they install contribute, and run the key which sets it all up. you can give them access to various bits of the site onle (editable areas of the site which you have setup on the site itself)

We use it at our school on our Online Curriculum.
Each department has a key setup for them so that the teachers can go to the site for their subject, geography say, then decide they want to edit it and aslong as they have the correct key they can make the changes and upload the new files.

It not designed to be a cheaper replacement for dreamweaver or fireworks.

Nice little app though, also has a nice little tool in it to convert word / powerpoint documents to pdf's and flash files.
