Mine too, she loves it.

I personally couldn't have one now, a little bit too small compared to the 7.

You I sure? I've got 2 sat here, a 5 and a 7 plus. I have no issues with swapping the SIM card over, both were set up using the same backup from my previous phone. iMessage and apps are associated with the Apple ID, not the SIM card.

In fact, the majority of your phone will work just fine without a SIM card in. It's only calls/text/mobile data. If connected to WiFi the sim makes no difference.

In fact, the majority of your phone will work just fine without a SIM card in. It's only calls/text/mobile data. If connected to WiFi the sim makes no difference.

I have endless problems when swapping sims between phones? Unless they've sorted it out on the newer software.

Yeah iPhone 8 is basically the 7 with wireless charging.

Touch ID has gone on X model, replaced by Face ID using IR to measure your face.
Learns if you grow a beard and isn't fooled by photos or masks apparently....

Flol face ID didn't work on the demo model bit embarrassing. 😂
Doesn't look like it works very well unfortunately, there's a pause before it unlocks.

Videos go full screen but you have the notch in the way. Not good if you're watching films/YouTube videos.

It works from a very acute angle by the looks of things.

Uses what looks like a basic IR 3d scanner so in theory should be able to deal with angles.
Looks to be a bit buggy in the on stage demo, they swapped phones and it was fine after that tho.

Seeing as I have an iPhone 7plus 128Gb I have to get the 256Gb iPhone X, this is going to be expensive!!

To sum up, the new Apple Watch series 3 is amazing, it has a built in electronic SIM card so you don't need to carry an iPhone with you to stream music, place and receive calls or use maps. Amazing.
iPhone 8 and 8plus are as expected. The new A11 Biometric Chip is a great upgrade too!

iPhone X is clearly the best iPhone ever made. That screen is gorgeous and it just looks like a real special piece of hardware!

Conference is now over, time to go take out another mortgage to pay for all this!

AR is a s**t gimick, been around for ages in various guises and never found much of an audience.

The sim in the new watch sounds good, Apple have long been attempting to kill off sim cards.

8 is basically what should be a 7S I'd have said, although it does bring wireless charging (glass is a prerequisite for that as you can't do it through the metal shell).

I'm glad they've done the X the way they have and left the 8 as the alternative. Not convinced by the faceID. Will see how it goes

Will get an Apple Watch 3 when available as I've been looking at getting one recently. Handy that I'm with BT (EE) on my SIM so cellular one will do nicely.

I like the X. Really like the X. Is it £130 better than the Note 8? Difficult to say. Screw it. X it is.

I imagine availability will be constrained big time on release.

Pretty much what I expected TBH, nice incremental bump for the 8 and the X is at least fairly pretty. I’ll reserve judgement on FaceID until I’ve tried it, not that it’s relevant really because I’m never dropping a grand on a phone.

An 8 will be my new work phone so nice to see it starts at 64Gb now. Sad face animated emoji for no bump to the SE though.
