Applicator pads

  F56 MINI Cooper S
Can applicator pads be washed or do they just simply go in the bin once used a couple of times. Used one today (a purple Megs one) which i have had for a while, and is now all green after using it to apply some Zymol wax on my car.

Will it hand wash or just easier to buy another applicator pad?

  Not a 320d
On foam polishing pads (Rotary 3m waffle) i use a little star drops and a scrubbing brush, and then rinse very very well. Cant say i wash my wax applicator pads though, i have several wax pads but they all live inside the wax pot and get used again. I use german applicators cut into 3, as i find the application easy and very easy to apply a thin layer. If they get grubby atall i just throw them away because they are so cheap.

Don't whack a pad filled with wax into your washing machine, especially with items like drying towels - you'll find they won't work quite so well.

Which Wax have you been using? Cleaner Wax I assume? The minty green stuff?

In which case, wash it with Fairy Liquid and Water by hand, and the pad should come up like new. For 'proper' waxes, after use, keep in a sealed bag and reuse next time.

Well it has Zymol wax all on it (the green one). I have also used the same one when applying Megs wax.
