arghhhhh, port 119 = newsgroups = throttled to around 120k.
switched to port 80, but the connection is spiking like mad and speeds are all over the place.

co-incidentally we have a meeting tomorrow which i assume they will mention this in.

Put it on a port higher then 1024

NTL Are by far the best , Never had a problem with them They even fail to take my bill some times. ( But leave the internet connection on )

I'm looking at my 'Du meter' I have downloaded 1.1TB in the last 9 months, I havnt had no letters yet Well they could of emailed me, i dont read my ISP mail box. (On Ntl)

criky, ive just signed up to pipex as well, is there anyway round this throttling? will it affect torrents the same as newsgroups? i think you can decrypt your outgoing connections with utorrent, would that fix it?

i have no LLU at my exchange, and due to working for a provider i'd be stupid to go with anyone other than the company i work for as i get it free and can override my bandwidth cap.
