auto lights not working please help

hi guys my auto lights on my mk2 172 have stopped working help any ideas!!!!!!!!!!!!! cheers my lights are working fine otherwise though

On the stalk for the lights that you use to turn them on. Turn the swivel bit to on, to off, to on, rapidly. I think it beeps to acknowledge the change. Something like this anyway.

I'm sure someone else will be along to give a better/correct method.

this happened on my clio - basically its when you are turning the stalk when the engines off repeatdly.

my mates a renault mechanic and he said its a common prob when people have been playing with cars - just teist on off on off on quickly and it should reset itself

I hate the auto lamps....i switched them off on my dynamique and i've switched them off on my 182...i'm the driver i'll decide when i put the lights on!

^^ lol - i quite agree but sometimes i forget to turn the switch so at least they save me gettin pulled over / have accident etc!

I hate the auto wipers more. Turning the auto features off and on are in the handbook...

turn on the ignition, turn the lights on and off twice. should bleep.

Why don't people read their manuals, it's all there to be read. Far easier than reading other peoples explanation anyway.
