auto lights??

i have a 172 52 plate put new battery on it today(cold weather ruined old 1)and would like to know if the head lights are light sensitive on this model? They never used to come on automatically with old battery so just wondering why they would now a new 1 has been put on?

Yes it has auto lights, they were probably switched off before.

After you disconnect the battery they reset, ignition on, turn the lights on and off twice, you will hear a beep, auto lights off.
