Yeah I was thinking about getting a spray on wax, would be handy for use at uni. Was thinking of getting that Mothers one Ali recommends, but might drive to Halfords and get some of this if its decent...

Saw it in Halfords today and thought I'd not heard of it before, similar to OCW?

They've finally got it in then  I asked them about 4 months ago about this and they looked at me blankly.

It's supposed to come with a couple of microfibres. (it does on most detailing sites)

A write up would be good, Rich, when you've had a chance to use it.

Yeah it was in a plastic box thing so it must have been more than just the bottle. I try not to go down that aisle otherwise I'll end up buying something or other.

First time I had seen it so grabbed a bottle, in a little case thing with a couple of MFs - was a tenner at the show guessing that is the normal retaill price.

Running low on Prima Hydro and the Duragloss so will be ideal to replace them on the daily drive if it is good. May try it tomorrow.

Cool let us know how you find it mate, otherwise one order one mail order will probably up several items!

Think it's about 14 quid iirc Rich and I know I guy that has used it and he says it's brilliant. Let me know how you get on with it.

you spray it on when the cars wet and dry as normal. got a sample of it and used it on my mates car. brought it up very well!

Reading the label it does require you to remove most of the excess water first then remove the remaining bits when you use it. Also says it requires a final buff after which is where it may lose out to the other two I have time wise.

Saved a couple of quid then - Weather is crap out but will try and give it ago in a bit, not had a bottle to try off him yet then Mat ?

No not yet, it was last year when he last came round to the office. He only had one sample bottle on him and said he needed it to show others.

Rich, let us all know if its any good and worth me getting into stock as I'm planning an Autoglym order next week.

A small Autoglym Aqua Wax review then.

Tried it earlier on my Silver 306. Had not been washed since early Oct was so was well due a wash, was now looking black after approx 3000 miles. The car was sealed and waxed in September with a coat of Jeffs AGT and a layer of Zymol Titanium which where beading well despite a layer of grime on most of the car !

Car was pre foamed with Megs. Hyper Wash and then washed using a lambswool mitt and again Hyper Wash. Arches and wheels pre soaked with Megs APC 4:1 and washed with the above.

Car was then rinsed with normal water from the hose and the majority of the water removed with a AG Flexi Blade ( lol yes I know it's a big no no on the 182 but no overly fussed with on the 306!!!!)

Paint looked pretty good, the AGT and Titanium beaded well with the rinse and the paint felt slick still, holding up well so quite pleased there. Durability wise it will be hard to tell what the AG Aqua Wax adds.

With the car still damp sprayed the AG Aqua Wax to a few panels at a time, eg one side of the car including all the glass. A little goes a long way a few sprays easily did the whole cars side. As you spread it around with a MF cloth unlike the Duragloss Aquawax or Prima Hydro which seem to wipe away with the remaining water the AG Aqua Wax actually spreads and hazes of like a spray wax does, needing to be buffed with another MF cloth, hence two being supplied with it. It was easy to see on the glass and even silver paint.

In use it is more like Optimum Car Wax, rather than the other wax as you dry offerings from Prima and Duragloss. No biggy really buffing with the second cloth revealed a streak free finish which feels very slick on initial application and removal anyway and a decent gloss. Big bonus as well using it on the glass ( says not to use it on the front screen) that you can clean and hopefully protect the glass in one step which was a time saver as all I needed to do was Duragloss Rain Repel the front screen.

All in all quite happy with it, does take slightly longer to apply and remove than the Duragloss and Prima which wipe away as you dry. But you do save the glass cleaning time. The AG left a nice finish though. Will be interesting to see how it holds up now, as being comparable to Optimum Car Wax which standalone produces good durability here for me. Be good to see if AG sell it in larger sizes as part as of the trade range as if so it may be a cost effective alternative to the OCW if it lasts as well.

Cool good write up! That sounds pretty decent especially as you can use it on the glass. I currently have a couple of layers of 476s on it as from September - December I didn't and even the rain water when it evaporated left water marks which I had to polish off, and using something like AG Fast Glass after washing obviously removes the wax...nice one!

Yeah I was thinking about getting a spray on wax, would be handy for use at uni. Was thinking of getting that Mothers one Ali recommends, but might drive to Halfords and get some of this if its decent...

It's good! :) you really have to push the trigger quickly tho, or it makes a mess.

Got the trade version AG Express Wax. It is a very good product if you want a quick wax after washing. Not sure how it holds up in the winter months but when used before lasts a good couple of weeks.
